Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account data — name, email, and phone number (used for abuse prevention), handled through our authentication provider, Clerk.
• Voice reference audio — the audio samples you upload to create voice clones. These are stored so your cloned voices keep working, and are deleted when you delete the voice.
• Generation data — the text you submit and the audio we generate, stored so your history and downloads work.
• Usage and billing data — credits used, plan status, and payment records. Card details are held by Stripe; we never see your card number.

How we use it

To run the service: generating speech in your chosen voices, keeping your history, metering credits, billing, preventing abuse, and sending service emails (credit warnings, billing notices). We do not sell your data, and we do not use your voice samples or generations to train models for anyone else.

Who processes your data

Kokil runs on trusted infrastructure providers, each receiving only what they need: Clerk (authentication), Stripe (payments), Supabase (database), Google Cloud (voice generation servers), Bunny CDN (audio file delivery), OpenAI (text pre-processing for pronunciation — text only, never audio), and Resend (service emails).

Voice cloning responsibility

Only clone voices you have the right to use — your own, or a voice whose owner has given you permission. We may suspend accounts that clone voices without consent.

Your controls

• Delete a cloned voice anytime — its reference audio goes with it.
• Delete generations from your history.
• Request full account deletion by emailing hello@kokil.app — we remove your data within 30 days, except records we must keep for tax and billing law.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will note the new date at the top of this page and email account holders about significant changes.
